Recently I needed to find the internal pagerank of a website… and I had a really hard time. There were a couple applications people made, but they didn’t always work every single time.. and they were really outdated.

You would think there would be tons of these sites on the net.. but there really aren’t many of them. I did find one site that really worked well.

Diagnostic web has an internal pagerank page that does a really good job. It sometimes doesnt get all of the pages in the domain/site but it usually gets them all. One thing to note though, it does take a long time to get the information. Another note is that you only get to use the service 4 times on the same IP.

How can you bypass the 4 requests per IP? Easy, use proxies. Web proxies work fairly well, it all depends on the proxy you’re using.

Head on over to Proxy.org and pick about 10-20 proxies, and then go to the Diagnostic web page. You’re bound to find 2-3 proxies that work well and give you another 4 requests.

Another tool I found useful was the Web Diagnostic For WebMaster. It gives you all sorts of information about your site like inbound links, pagerank, search engine postition, and a bunch of other things.

Do you have a site you use to check pagerank or other things about your site? Post it in the comments.

You might not know, but I used to be into running proxies. I started my proxy network on December 13th 2008. I started off with 2 proxies, and then once those started to get traffic I expanded to about 10 or so proxies. Only a couple days after that, I started to earn big money with my proxy network.

It took a lot of work and promotion, but it finally started to pay off. My best performing proxy was”The Blue Proxy” and it was getting 1.6million page views a month at its peak. You can check that out on my Best Proxy post I made a while back.

All together I made about $40 from just using Adbrite. I really dont think it’s that much because it was costing $7.50 a month, and I had the proxies for 3 months.

I finally decided to sell off all of my proxies because I wasnt spending any time on them (literally zero time) and they started to get less and less hits. I know they usually operate without any upkeep, you just setup the domain, promote and leave it.. but I want to move on to bigger and better things.

I managed to sell off all of my proxies for $40. It was a quick sale, and went fairly painless. I feel better now that theyre in someones hands who will actually care about them.

Well I signed up for twitter a couple weeks ago, and so far I actually like it quite a bit. I haven’t been using it a heck of a lot, but I have been using it every other day or so. Here is an update of my account status:

twitter user stats

Those stats arent amazing, but they were achieved with very little work. I actually only followed about 10 really popular people in the beginning. They were in the “Make Money Online” niche and other entrepreneur niches. I also followed some celebs just for kicks. I also added a pic of myself to my account. I made about 5-10 updates every week, sometimes more, and the followers just kept pouring in. I was getting  10+ followers a day for about a week straight. I actually turned off email updates because it was annoying haha.

Since I’ve started using it, I’ve managed to add 5 people to my subscibers list. I setup TweetLater I think it’s called to send out private messages to people once they follow me. It seems to be working out pretty well :)
Anyways that’s my rant about Twitter. I’m enjoying it so far, and it seems to be working out as a good marketing tool.

Paintballer Tips

I just started a new website called Paintballer Tips. I have always been interested in paintball, and I recently bought a paintball marker so I thought I would set up a website.

The website is going to mainly consist of paintball tips and tricks. I am going to write some of the content myself, and I think I might just use some content from other websites, and see what happens. I know that the google machine likes unique content, and to be honest there really arent a whole lot of paintball websites out there. Hopefully my unique content will set me apart from other sites.

I didnt really set up the site to make money, but I would like to be able to make money from it sooner or later. Ive found a couple paintball click bank products, so I might promote those on there. I am going to try and promote it through ways I havent tried yet. I have been reading a lot on different forums on how to promote websites using unconventional ways, so I might as well try them out. I am also going to try and use regular ways to promote a niche blog like article marketing and link exchanges/building.
I’ll make another post a bit later with some more stats :)

Back to school on Monday! Im not going to be able to work on making money much when I start school again, so i’m going to be outsourcing a bit I think. Im going to try it out, so we’ll see how that goes.

I made the goal to make atleast $100 USD a month online, and so far i’ve reached my goal. As of me writing this i’ve made a total of $104 USD! Im pretty happy. I live in Canada, so thats about $130 CAD. It’s good because that will pay for my lunches at the cafeteria.

Im going to be trying affiliate marketing. I signed up because there is a contest going on over at Iron Blogger. It involves the affiliate network Motive Interactive. Im pretty excited about it, and hopefully IronBlogger gives some decent information on how to make money if youre a complete affiliate marketing noob like me. So far he gave some tips on promoting an affiliate through YouTube, but it doesnt seem like good advice… it doesnt look like hes done it himself. He just basically went over what it is… not how to do anything or how to make any money.

I hope this all works out! I better not be wasting my time ;)

Hey all, I have an update regarding my proxy network. I have been promoting my whole network a lot lately, and one site is standing out the most. The best performing proxy in my network is TheBlueProxy. This proxy is getting an INSANE amount of traffic. It’s weird because I promoted every proxy exactly the same, and some are doing great, and some are doing pretty terrible. I think it has something to do with the domain, but I could be wrong. Anyways here is a screen shot of the traffic its got so far in decemeber.

proxy stats

It’s really amazing! It has gotten over 1.6 million pages! Its crazy.

I bought a couple new domains with a sale name.com recently had. I bought 2 that relate to proxies, so hopefully I’ll get those setup in the new year. With those 2 proxies I am going to go about promoting them differently. With those 2 im going to use a lot more social community sites, like facebook and myspace.

We’ll see how that goes.

Dec 23

I’ll get right to it. Month-to-date earnings: $8.29. That’s for December. I started the proxy network I think on the 8th of December. I don’t think that’s too bad, considering a lot of kids aren’t in school for a couple weeks in December, and the month isn’t even over.

But what I really wanted to write about was the fact that I sold one of my proxies!. I know its no bid deal but I thought, lets try this out. I bought it with the intention to sell it. I spotted it on the Digital Point forums and I knew it was a great deal, the guy didn’t know what he was doing.

How it went down
I bought the proxy for $10. It was getting about 200 UV a day, and not really making any money. It was also using the most ugliest theme I had ever seen. It also had porn ads all over it for some reason. So, I knew I had to setup a new theme on it, and get the traffic back up. Once the web site’s domain was in my possession, which was what I really paid for, I setup a nice fresh Glype theme on it. I have my own little unique description, meta description, and meta keywords I use, so I plugged those in and setup all the ads. I then had to go on to promoting it the secret way I do. Actually its no secret, I just submit it to a bunch of topsites and proxy lists. Surprisingly the guy who owned it before me never did this. I could tell because only about 10% of the sites I submitted to said “This proxy is already in our list”.

I started to get about 300-400 UV to the site. I also had to get rid of the site before it expired, which was in about 20 days or so. At this point the site was getting a lot of traffic, so I thought its time to sell this bad boy.

I listed it on DP with a starting bid of $1. I knew in a couple bids the site would be up to $10. It went from $1 to $10. I knew right when that happened, I would be making a profit on this flip. I had initially set a BIN (Buy It Now) to $80. I know this is ridiculous, but I set it really high so I can lower it every 12 hours or so to bump my thread.

Conclusion
Turns out I sold the proxy for $25. That’s a profit of 150%! I love it. I know its pocket change but hey, if I can do this 3-4 times a week – $15 x 4 is $60. I wouldn’t mind an extra $60 a week for little work!

Anyways I made this post to show that it is retarded how easy it is to buy, and flip a proxy, although I’m sure you can apply this to any website.

I love nice backgrounds for my desktop. There are so many websites on the internet that have huge databases of crappy backgrounds… these sites are a waste of internet. I’ll get right to it, the best website on the internet for quality backgrounds is InterfaceLIFT.

I go to this website every week or so to see if there are any new wallpapers. The moderators, or moderator who accepts or rejects the wallpapers makes sure that only the very best wallpapers get posted. They are all literally amazing, all of them are amazing! Im pretty positive that the wallpapers that get posted here are unique too, they arent mass submitted to 14236 different wallpaper databases.
Check out InterfaceLIFT and download a couple wallpapers, maybe even sign up and comment on your favourite ones.

K back in my highschool days I ran a couple proxies to bypass the filter thing they had in place so you couldnt go to myspace, facebook and all of those flash games websites. While I only really ran them for friends and myself, I did make some money off of them from putting some ads on them. After I gradutuated I pretty much forgot about them, the domains expired… and they were pretty much lost forever.

Recently I had an idea. Dude I made money off of those. So I found out, I had 2-3 domains that were sitting there doing nothing… pointing to nameservers that dont even exist on the interwebs. So I though, dude, im gonna sign up for some cheap-o vps, load up those domains, and fire up a small proxy network.

So it went pretty good. I started with promoting 2 domains I setup, and those are getting some steady traffic. Its so easy to promote proxies. People are literally begging for them. Check out Yahoo! Answers, there are a shitload of teenagers on there begging for proxies to unblock myspace and facebook.

Ive expanded from the inital 2 proxy sites to about 9 now. Some are just domains that need to be setup, but they will be wicked sweet proxies soon enough :D

Im monetizing them with Adbrite, and Widgetbucks so far. Ive actually sold a banner advertisement on one of them already :) $5 for 1 month. That paid for the domain 5 times over lol I love .info domains. $0.99 is amazing for a domain.

So far i’ve made $1.32 from Adbrite, and $0.19 from Widgetbucks :D Thats not too bad for 2 days of operation, and only from 2 proxies.

Finding a webhost is hard and confusing. There are so many hosts to choose from, so many options within those hosts.

I was lucky enough to find a host that suited my needs. I found TMZHosting through the DigitalPoint forums. I really didnt want to be scammed so I did my research and im very pleased thus far.

You should atleast check out their hosting plans and what they offer, the prices are super cheap.
