Recently I needed to find the internal pagerank of a website… and I had a really hard time. There were a couple applications people made, but they didn’t always work every single time.. and they were really outdated.
You would think there would be tons of these sites on the net.. but there really aren’t many of them. I did find one site that really worked well.
Diagnostic web has an internal pagerank page that does a really good job. It sometimes doesnt get all of the pages in the domain/site but it usually gets them all. One thing to note though, it does take a long time to get the information. Another note is that you only get to use the service 4 times on the same IP.
How can you bypass the 4 requests per IP? Easy, use proxies. Web proxies work fairly well, it all depends on the proxy you’re using.
Head on over to Proxy.org and pick about 10-20 proxies, and then go to the Diagnostic web page. You’re bound to find 2-3 proxies that work well and give you another 4 requests.
Another tool I found useful was the Web Diagnostic For WebMaster. It gives you all sorts of information about your site like inbound links, pagerank, search engine postition, and a bunch of other things.
Do you have a site you use to check pagerank or other things about your site? Post it in the comments.
I’ve never written about Facebook apps before, but I have just finished making an app with my partner.
The app is called The Free Cinema, and like the name implies, it’s a cinema, but free. There are all the latest movies available to watch for free.
You pay “tickets” to watch movies on the app, and to get more tickets you either invite more friends, or do a simple survey to get many more tickets.
I suggest you check it out: http://apps.facebook.com/thefreecinema/
KillerBlog is now hosted on a new host.
I has having some problems with my old host, and I decided to upgrade to a better company with better servers. I think my old host was overselling by a lot, and it was hurting performance.
I’m now hosted with SharkSpace. I really like their service so far.
Thanks!
